Michigan Parks Map

This is a map I created as a part of my GIS Certification course, it is a map of national and state parks in Michigan. The data for this project comes from the State of Michigan open GIS portal at https://gis-michigan.opendata.arcgis.com/

I started with a base map using the NAD83 projection in ESRI ArcGIS Pro. I then downloaded the data from the portal and added roads, cities, and parks. Some data entries needed to be removed from data sets, such as all the minor cities and small parks too close to others. After adding labeling, I brought this data into Adobe Illustrator where I cleaned it up and aligned things properly.
